Are you aged 16-25?
Do you enjoy creative writing or want to work as a journalist?
Could you be The Audience?
Nottingham Festival of Literature is looking for an aspiring writer to be ‘The Audience’ for the duration of our Festival 8-13 November 2016.
We want you to attend the Festival and publish a daily blog right here on nottsfol.co.uk called;
‘The View From The Audience’
We will of course supply you with a Festival pass and what events you attend will be up to you. All we ask is that you supply a daily blog post that we can publish for 7 days (8-14th November 2016). Members of the Nottingham Festival of Literature team will act as your editor for the duration of your assignment. This means that you will get feedback on your writing from some of the best in the business.
This is a unique opportunity to work to a brief with a supportive team and produce something that we will all be proud of. Your blogs during the course of the Festival will be anonymous so that your fellow Festival goers do not know that you are ‘The Audience’.
For your final blog post you may remove the mask and talk about your experience in writing the blog if you so wish. The creative response to the brief is up to you.
Applications are invited from any aspiring writer regardless of experience aged 16-25.
Please send a CV and a covering letter explaining why you should be ‘The Audience’. Your explanation should be no more than 300 words.
Email your application to [email protected] by midday on Friday 28th October. You must be available for interview on Monday 31st October during the afternoon or early evening.
If you are successful you will be expected to attend events taking place in Nottingham 8-13th November 2016.
Good luck, we’ll be seeing you…
